The Armer Group is a family owned dairy farming business based in Te Puke with farms in the Bay of Plenty, Central Plateau and Taumarunui areas.
From sharemilking beginnings Colin and Dale Armer have grown the Group to 15 dairy farms and three support blocks milking some 14,000 cows by operating a farming system based on high pasture utilisation developed out of Ruakura No 2 Dairy and other research undertaken in the 90’s.
Colin and Dale are also the sole remaining foundation shareholders of Dairy Holdings Limited in the South Island which owns and operates 58 dairy farms plus supporting grazing blocks.
The Armer Group believes in providing a safe working environment for all employees as well as third party contractors.
A constantly evolving Health and Safety policy with third party audits ensures the Armer Group complies not only with the current legislation, but also ensures a safe and enjoyable work place for all staff and contractors.
To farm you must have a passion for not only the livestock, but for the land and the wider environment as well.
From its formation the Armer Group has actively fenced off waterways and conservation areas throughout its land holdings and planted natives and specimen trees to not only protect sensitive areas, but provide a habitat for bird life and other native fauna.
The Armer Group is an employer of Farm Workers, Managers and Contract Farmers. The Armer Group actively supports training and learning within the industry and engages industry bodies such as AgITO to help educate its people to enable them to grow and progress within the business as well as the industry as a whole.
